Chris Green-Armytage
Piano Teacher

Pianist, teacher and composer, Chris Green-Armytage has played
throughout Great Britain and in Europe, the US and Asia. He has
appeared as concerto soloist at the Barbican and the Festival Hall in London and Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also appeared in many major festivals, broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and recorded for Hyperion.

He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Juilliard School in New York. He made his London debut as a pianist on the South Bank at eighteen and while a student he won the Concert Artists’ Guild Award in New York and received the Harriet Cohen Memorial Award in London.

He now devotes much of his time to teaching. Over the past 30
years he has built a formidable reputation as a piano teacher in the East of England. Recent highlights have included being nominated for the University of East Anglia Excellence in Teaching Awards and giving a recital and masterclass at the World Piano Conference in Serbia. Last year saw the release of an EP of his own piano music on the Bigo and Twigetti music label.
