Katie read English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford, graduating with a First Class degree in 2022. She has enjoyed playing violin with others since aged nine, when she joined the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain. After 5 years of playing under the baton of conductors like Daniel Harding, Katie then joined Britten Sinfonia Academy, during which she was fortunate enough to play alongside Nicola Benedetti. She also led the Norfolk County Youth Orchestra for three years, and led Triorca in 2019 when the UK hosted students from Germany and Serbia.
Whether it is charity busking with friends, playing for elderly individuals in care homes, or performing in string quartets at weddings, Katie enjoys sharing music with others and believes it is one of the most powerful tools to bring people together. She looks forward to raising awareness for Triorca’s 2024 Summer Course, and forming new friendships through the project.
